While planning our Tokyo trip, I found out that the Bvlgari Hotel had opened — and since Bvlgari Bali is one of my favorite hotels in the world, I knew we had to stay. I have always loved how moody and refined Bvlgari properties feel.
Located on the 40th floor of the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu building, the hotel feels like a world above the city – quiet, cinematic, and surrounded by sweeping skyline views that overlook both Mount Fuji and the Imperial Palace. We spent two nights here, and it was one of those stays where every small detail feels intentional.

Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo features 98 rooms and suites, all designed by the Italian architecture firm ACPV. The design strikes a perfect balance between Italian elegance and Japanese harmony.
The hotel’s emblem was inspired by a vintage Bvlgari brooch depicting Mount Fuji, while the driveway is paved with Roman sanpietrino stones — a subtle nod to the brand’s heritage. Inside, Japanese calligraphy, a hinoki-wood counter at Sushi Hōseki, and a small zen garden on the terrace reflect the local influence woven throughout the design.

We were upgraded, thanks to our amazing travel advisor Tiffany, to a Deluxe One-Bedroom Suite with skyline views. The design embodies that Italian-meets-Japanese fusion — soft lighting, dark woods, textured walls, and black-accents that make the space feel calm and grounding.
A welcome table awaited us with Japanese grapes and personalized cards, which were switched out daily — a simple but thoughtful touch that made the stay feel personal. The bathroom was all black with a deep soaking tub and of course, my favorite Japanese toilet.

The hotel features several standout dining experiences.
We dined at Il Ristorante – Niko Romito on our first night — awarded one Michelin star for three consecutive years since opening. Chef Niko Romito’s menu redefines classic Italian cuisine – elegant yet simple. My personal favorites were the pasta and risotto — comforting, refined, and full of depth.
Breakfast is served in the same space, offering American and Japanese sets, both plated with signature Bvlgari precision.
There is also Sushi Hōseki, an intimate omakase counter crafted from hinoki wood, and The Bvlgari Lounge for afternoon tea and lighter bites.
The Rooftop Bar – sexy, sleek, and moody. Perched high above the city, it offers panoramic views of the Imperial Palace and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. It’s the perfect spot for sunset cocktails!

The emerald-tiled indoor pool is one of the most stunning indoor city pools I’ve ever seen. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame Tokyo’s skyline, while soft lighting and smooth stone finishes create tranquility. My fiancé Ryan, loved swimming in the pool.

The concierge team is exceptional — special shoutout to Kanna, who went above and beyond. They helped us secure reservations at some of Tokyo’s hardest-to-book restaurants and even arranged our train tickets. The whole team was kind, efficient, and genuinely amazing to work with.
Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo feels closer to a six-star experience than five. Every detail – from the Italian design to the Japanese craftsmanship – is intentional. It’s modern, moody, and deeply elegant, blending two cultures effortlessly.
If you love luxury hotels like I do, this one definitely deserves a spot at the top of your Tokyo list.
