How To Create A Mind Movie

“The process of change requires unlearning. It requires breaking the habit of the old self and reinventing a new self.”

Joe Dispenza

I have mentioned in previous blog posts that I am completely obsessed with Joe Dispenza. He is a man of many talents, who has written a handful of profound books that help people tap into their minds and create the life of their dreams. He does this through the powerful tool of visualization.

Whenever I have asked the successful people I’ve met or know personally, how they got to where they are today, I’ve learned it’s a combination of visualization, action and consistency.

WHAT IS VISUALIZATION?

Visualization is the act of using our imagination to create mental pictures or scenarios of how our best lives to look and how to make that vision into a reality. Most of the world’s most successful people from athletes to actors or CEO’s and billionaires use this technique on daily basis to perform at their best.

The goal with visualization is to plant the seeds of empowering beliefs to condition the subconscious mind that you are worthy of any life you wish to lead. It’s the first step to getting aligned with the correct emotional state, energy and clarity to bring your dreams into reality.

WHAT IS A MIND MOVIE?

A mind movie is like a digital day vision board. It’s a little 3 minute video of your best life and a very powerful tool to utilize side by side with visualization. It’s a snapshot of the life that is most in tune with your highest potential. It allows you to see it in the “now”, in the present, as if it’s already sitting right in front of you.

Each of us has a system in our brain called the Reticular Activating System (RAS), which is a tiny bundle of nerves near the base of your brain.

It’s a tiny but, incredibly powerful “networking center” of your subconscious mind and it decides what is allowed through the gate of your conscious mind. It filters over 40 million pieces of data that your subconscious mind is thinking every second!

That’s a ton of information! So what you think, is what you become. Your thoughts affect your entire being, so what you dwell on tends to sneak through that gate entering your subconscious mind, and you don’t even realize it.

Mind Movies are designed to act as evidence that you believe you are worthy of success, you are abundant and that your attitude of gratitude attracts more bliss into your life. You condition your subconscious mind to produce thoughts that serve you instead of sabotage you. Allowing you to become your more wholesome, positive and encouraging thoughts.

Some quick things to keep in mind for your mind movie is making sure to use a kaleidoscope (which I will cover in the next section) & the kind of music you choose. Music is connected to our hippocampus, memory centers and auditory cortices which means there’s a huge connection between our emotional state, memory & music. It’s important to choose music that lights up your heart center and shy away from any negative language.

WHY WE USE A KALEIDOSCOPE?

Many of us (including myself) tend to see geometric shapes when we have mystical experiences. The best way to induce these, is through the use of a kaleidoscope, which helps put us in a trance state. When we achieve this level of trance, we put the analytical, logical mind to rest and are much more open minded to information. We can begin to envision our future & believe it with the same confidence as we believe in our pasts.

Essentially the kaleidoscope is another powerful tool in conditioning our minds to believe the programming we have curated versus all the information we soak up from other people’s thoughts, limiting beliefs & opinions of you.

A helpful tip is to go back and forth between your kaleidoscope and the mind movie, staring at the kaleidoscope until you envision the next scene of your mind movie. This helps bring out the hopes and desires of your subconscious mind because, that level of trance you’ve reached has shut down your analytical mind & allows you to imagine all you can be.

HOW TO MAKE A MIND MOVIE

Making a mind movie is extremely simple, whether you are a technically challenged or a movie editor expert. Premiere Pro or any movie editing program will serve you here or you can download video apps such as Videoshop or Inshot. You are 5 steps away from making your mind movie:

  1. Start off by grabbing a piece of paper, your journal or open up notes in your phone and start writing down all the things you wish to manifest.
  2. Next, start going through Google and Pinterest and screen shot all of your favorite images, quotes or GIFs that inspire you!
  3. Collect them all in one place and add them to your video software or app.
  4. Then, add in your favorite affirmations
  5. Lastly, edit in your favorite song or one that makes you feel most alive.

A great benefit to creating a mind movie over a vision board is that as you grow, accomplish certain goals and come more in alignment with where once wished to be you can easily change out images that no longer resonate with you. For example, I created a vision board over a year ago and alot of my dreams have changed due to new situations and opportunities that have happened in my life.

Some Final Words

As you dive into this work, Joe Dispenza says “people begin to realize it’s not about what they get, it’s all about who they become.” As you adopt these new ways of thinking, create powerful beliefs in place of limiting beliefs you start to become in alignment with this desired life effortless. Ironically enough, when you no longer feel yourself wanting a certain something, is when you get it.

Your dream life is waiting, you have all the tools you need to start manifesting it today. Take action! Take action! Take action and let go of the outcome! Go out and get it!!!!
