A Collection of My Favorite Nonprofits in Los Angeles

Those are some fantastic organizations making a big impact in Los Angeles! Here’s a bit about each one and how you might get involved:

  1. Baby2Baby: Provides children in need with diapers, clothing, and other essential items. They often need volunteers for sorting and distributing supplies.
  2. Red Eye & Watts Empowerment Center: Focuses on providing educational and enrichment opportunities to youth in Watts.
  3. LA Food Bank: Distributes food to those in need across LA County. They rely on volunteers for sorting and packing food, as well as financial donations.
  4. Union Rescue Mission: Offers shelter, meals, and supportive services to the homeless population in downtown LA. You can help by volunteering or donating essential items.
  5. Downtown Women’s Center: Dedicated to helping women experiencing homelessness. They offer programs for housing, health care, and employment, and they welcome volunteers and donations.
  6. The Stray Cat Alliance: Focuses on improving the lives of homeless cats through rescue, TNR (trap-neuter-return), and adoption services.
  7. The Animal Wellness Foundation: Provides veterinary care and support for animals in need. You can help by volunteering at events or donating to their cause.
