I have always had Aman Tokyo on my hotel bucket list. Well, to be honest, I have every Aman on my hotel bucket list since their level of design, attention to detail, and service is unmatched by their ore ethos of staff-to-guest ratio of 7:1.

I traveled to Japan for New Year’s Eve and I am so happy that I was finally able to stay at the Aman Tokyo to start out 2023.
About The Hotel
Aman Tokyo is located in the financial district of Chiyoda City and is about a 5-minute taxicab ride to Tokyo Station. The hotel has 84 rooms and suites on the uppermost floors of Otemachi Tower.
As soon as you enter the hotel you are greeted by staff and then take an elevator to floor 33 where you enter the lobby. Aman Tokyo’s lobby is one of the most impressive lobbies I have ever seen in my life. The inside of the lobby was built to replicate the interior of a Japanese lantern made with washi (Japanese paper) and has views of Tokyo city as well as Mount Fuji.
The Room
We stayed in the Deluxe Palace Garden View room which was one of the most unique and beautiful hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. With respect to Japanese etiquette, upon entering the room, there is a place to take off your shoes and a pair of slippers to put on. The suite designs are inspired by traditional Japanese residences and use various materials including wood, washi paper, and stone. Our room had views of the Imperial Palace Gardens and Mt Fuji. I loved taking a bath in a deep furo tub which is a traditional Japanese soaking tub while looking at Tokyo’s skyline. I learned that Japanese bathtubs are built to help restore mental and spiritual well-being by providing a private relaxing space.
The Service
The service was 10/10 impeccable. We originally booked to stay 2 nights at the Aman since they were sold out on Sunday but as soon as we checked in and told them we wanted to stay an extra night, they made sure to accommodate us and extended our stay. The concierge spoke excellent English and was very helpful in giving us recommendations on restaurants and booking reservations. Aman concierge has a lot of pull in Tokyo. All of the staff whether it be at the restaurants, the spa, or in-room dining were all flawless.
The Spa
The Aman spa offers traditional Japanese healing therapies including Kampo herbal healing which is derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine dating back to the seventh century. The hotel spa also features a 98-foot pool with views of Tokyo city, onsen-style hot baths, a fitness center, and a yoga/pilates studio. We personally did not have time to try out their massages but we did enjoy the pool which was so serene and peaceful.
The Food
Aman Tokyo has 4 different restaurants ranging from Italian to Japanese. I personally only ate in-room dining (they serve breakfast 24 hours) and at The Lounge. In-room dining has an array of breakfast options including an American breakfast set or a Japanese breakfast set. I ate the American breakfast set which you can see in the photos below.
