ASIANA AIRLINES

I decided to fly Asiana airlines from Los Angeles to Hanoi, Vietnam. I had never heard of this airline before but my travel agent recommended this flight since it only had a two hour layover in Seoul, which made it super convenient. Sometimes flying across the world includes long layovers which can be exhausting and add to jet lag.

Asiana Airlines is a Star Alliance member which is a network of premium international airlines with one of the highest number of daily flights, destinations, destination countries, and member companies.

Asiana Airlines motto for customer service is:
State of the Art Service: Serve our customers in a state of the art aircraft, with a service- focused approach that continuously seeks the best.
Considerate Service: Serve our customers by treating them based on traditional Korean courtesy.
Friendly service: Serve our customers with a smile that comes from the bottom of the heart.
High-end service: Serve our customers by providing top quality in-flight meals, small items, and the crew’s dedicated service

After flying with them, I can truly attest that they live up their motto. The flight attendants were very welcoming and helped me to my seat as soon as I boarded the plane. Throughout the entire flight, they graciously took care of me – they fed me, they gave me wine and made sure I was up and ready for my next flight to Hanoi. Also, I am personally really picky about how clean a plane is, especially when flying for over 10 hours. Asiana’s business cabin did not disappoint. The business cabin was super bright and the seats were especially clean.

THE SEAT

If you are traveling solo make sure to pick a seat next to the window. If you are traveling with a friend or significant other, make sure to book the middle seats. The good thing about the layout of this plane is that every seat has aisle access.

THE FOOD

The food on flight was very delicious. They offered both an American meal and a Korea meal which is very thoughtful. I ordered the American meal but in the middle of the night I woke up to the smell of someone eating Ramen noodles behind me and it smelt so good that I decided to order some. After that I saw a few other peoples lights overhead turn on and the stewardess kept bringing out ramen after ramen. So delicious!

Overall, I loved my flight on Asiana Airlines and would highly recommend if you are making your way to Asia. I really want to explore Seoul in the next year, so I will definitely fly with them again since it is an easy direct flight from Los Angeles.
