Since I was little, I have always delved deeper into life's fundamental questions—what is the meaning of life, and why are we here?
I was raised in Orange County, California, by my incredible single mom, Stephanie. With a mixed heritage, my background is a blend of English, Irish, French, and German on my mom’s side and African American and Native American from my dad’s side. Standing 6 feet tall, I was often approached by modeling scouts as I was growing up. At 19, I decided to embrace these opportunities and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in modeling.
Moving to Los Angeles opened a realm of opportunities, leading me towards the exploration of diverse interests, learning more about the world, and navigating life's ups and downs.
travel: which expands perspectives
events: which foster connection
philanthropy: which enriches both giver and receiver
mindful living: meditation, journaling, and reading—to manage mental health and expand my consciousness.
Travel has been an essential part of my life for many years. My first overseas trip to Italy at 17 with my mom was a transformative experience. She saved diligently for over a year, even using her annual bonus, to make our dream trip to Italy a reality. I will always cherish this experience as it broadened my perspective.
After that trip, I promised myself that I would see as much of the world as I could. Now, I am very grateful to say that I have traveled to 47 countries.
In 2012, I started my first travel blog to share my travel experiences with my family and friends. I was living bicoastal between Los Angeles and Miami but spent most of my time on the road, living out of a suitcase. I love exploring new destinations, immersing myself in diverse cultures, documenting my trips, enjoying good food—yes, I am a big foodie—and staying in luxury hotels.
Some of my travel highlights include visiting the Egyptian Pyramids, hiking Machu Picchu, staying at Richard Branson’s Necker Island, getting engaged at Royal Mansour in Marrakech, swimming with 500 whale sharks off Isla Mujeres, staying at a rescue elephant sanctuary in Chiang Mai, Thailand, dressing up in a kimono and drinking tea in Kyoto, going on a safari in Kruger National Park, diving with sharks in the Maldives, flying Emirates First Class to Dubai, visiting rural tribes in Indonesia, skydiving in Santa Barbara, and attending a wedding at Ayers Rock, Australia.
I love to document my travels through videos, photographs, and blog posts and I am always looking to collaborate with hotels, travel brands and tourism boards.
I love to throw a good party! My passion for event planning began in elementary school when my mom and I would plan my birthday every year. Funny story: In high school, I rented out a backyard in La Mirada, CA, hired a DJ and security, and charged people $3 to get in to cover the costs of the event. The party was a huge hit.
When I moved to Los Angeles, I continued my birthday traditions and started throwing big birthday bashes every year with some of the world’s top DJs and celebrities in attendance. Organically, over time, people started hiring me to produce their events.
I have organized dinner parties, wedding celebrations, brand activations, and wellness events such as sound baths and yoga. What I enjoy most about event planning is being able to be creative, collaborate with other creatives, and produce experiences that bring people together.
From a young age, my mother instilled in me the importance of giving back through volunteering. In April of 2020, my passion for philanthropy deepened when I met Tyrone Nance and started volunteering during the pandemic, working on various projects with organizations including The Violence Intervention Program, Union Rescue Mission, Watt’s Empowerment Center,.. to name a few.
During the 2020 civil rights protests, I saw Tyrone's exceptional leadership skills in action and realized his potential for leading a non-profit organization. I encouraged him to create his own organization. Soon after, Tyrone founded It’s Bigger Than Us - a south Los Angeles based nonprofit with a mission to advance health equity.
For my birthday celebration that year, instead of receiving gifts, I rallied for funds to support my ongoing charitable endeavors. I also joined the planning committee on behalf of It’s Bigger Than Us to collaborate with the YMCA Crenshaw to produce a Winter Wonderland holiday-themed drive-through experience distributing 10,000 toys. Raising funds, planning community events, and working with a variety of nonprofits was incredibly fulfilling for me, and I knew it was something I wanted to keep doing. And I have. Over these past four years, my role as a board director has been vital in bringing together partners, donors, and volunteers for our flagship events, amplifying our impact on the South Los Angeles community.
A transformative 4-month trip to Southeast Asia with a program called Remote Year changed my life forever. Remote Year is a travel program where you visit a new country every month, offering housing, coworking spaces, and local support. I decided to join after going through a break up, feeling very lost and depressed. While I was in Asia, I became my own best friend. Through self-care, spending time alone, meditation, gratitude, creating art, journaling, and reading, I embraced a mindful lifestyle that healed and empowered me.
During my travels, I also became fascinated with learning about how cultures use different fragrances in healing practices. Candles and essential oils can soothe, calm and heal. This directly inspired me to create an intention candle line, launching in 2025, which ties together my passion for travel and mindful living. Whether it's a quick 5-minute meditation in the morning, listening to thought leaders on Youtube, or reflecting on gratitude, my mission is to inspire people to live their best mindful lives.
Thank you for joining me on this adventure. Through travel, events, philanthropy, and mindful living, I hope to inspire you to embrace life's possibilities, connect with others, and make a meaningful impact.
